John Barker a custom knifemaker wanted an online presence to show off his custom knives and making it easy for new customs to place orders.
Using the wordpress platform – I implemented a portfolio style site to display John’s work.
I added a photo gallery to show off his knives in the knife gallery. Each photo includes a description of the product.
A photo gallery also included to show off his workshop in the shop tour.
We included an informative FAQ page, John’s bio & contact info. Easy navigation for the user.
John’s work speaks for itself but my main focus was making sure the proper SEO was added to the code.
My first step is making sure the client teaches me about their company, product etc.. Then I ask that they supply plenty of content for me to build a solid foundation. Content is a recession proof product. John can sell his product and knows it well. He has amazing skils and dedicated to his art. John passed this test and offered good content.
Success once again! barkerknives.com is well indexed in the search engines.
Even with the smaller sites - I am dedicated to making sure each & every page has the proper coding for search engines. Focusing on Google, Bing & Yahoo.
Good luck to John – he is a true artist!
